Q. Who will actually photograph our wedding or portrait session? Will it be you or an associate?
A. Once commissioned, Stephanie will be your photographer. She believes that your investment deserves her commitment and full attention.

Q. Film or Digital?
A. As the quality of digital equipment grows, we use some of the most advanced professional 35mm digital camera bodies and a range of professional quality lenses to allow for maximum flexibility in a variety of situations.

Q. Will you take posed family portraits at our wedding?
A. Though Stephanie is not a traditional wedding photographer she does recommend a short period of time for family photographs, typically following the ceremony. During your consultation, we will help you schedule how much time will be involved for formal pictures based on your needs. We recommend keeping these photos to a minimum so that you can be with your guests and so that we can document your day as it naturally unfolds.

Q. How does the online proof portfolio work?
A. In order to make your proofs available quickly and more accessible for your family and friends, you will be provided with a website, which allows for online viewing of your photographs approximately four to six weeks after your event or session. This method of viewing proofs has been extremely flexible for clients and their families. It will also provide your family and friends a convenient way to independently order their own prints from your wedding or portrait session.

Q. Can we purchase the negatives?
A. Yes. A DVD of high resolution images, or digital negatives, is available through the studio for purchase with rights for reprinting images for personal, non-commercial use. This DVD would include all images from your photography session. Purchase of individual digital files is available through the website for viewing and ordering.

Q. How many hours of work go into my photography?
A. A total of 30-80 hours of work goes into each job, depending on the size of the event or shoot. A majority of the time is spent in pre-and post-production planning and editing, and in custom album design.

Q. Can I have black and white prints as well as color?
A. Certainly. Proofs are posted in color; however, clients can opt for black and white or sepia treatments for prints and albums.

Q. Once I have chosen the work for my final collection, when can I expect to receive the final product?
A. All timing is dependent on the size, complexity and season of your order. Wedding clients will typically see their proofs in four to six weeks and the final collections and any additions completed within two to four months. Portrait clients will typically see their proofs in three to five weeks with final collections and any additions following in two to three months.

Q. Do you travel?
A. Absolutely! As part of the fee, travel to locations within 50 miles of Chicago is included. Travel to regional, national and international photography destinations is also welcomed. Packages can be created to meet your needs. Please call for a travel quote.

Q. How do I secure my event/shoot date?
A. Shooting dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. A signed contract and a 1/3 retainer of your total selections will hold your date. The remainder of the fee will be due before the day of the shoot. Cash, check, or select credit cards are accepted through PayPal invoicing. Inquire with the studio for more information.
